Shaking It Off

Believe there is a great power silently working all things for good, behave yourself and never mind the rest. – Beatrix Potter

As the month of March is marching along, there are so many things waking up around me that my creative self is a little overwhelmed this morning. How about you?

While I don’t feel like I brought much to completion to share with you this morning I know there is much percolating around me.  From the garden that bed by bed, pot by pot is waking up, to the manuscript for my Good Dirt book that is taking on new and exciting dimensions to be further explored.

Getting my fingers in the dirt brings me so much joy. Definitely hard work, with so many rewards. And, with my husband Ed by my side, I feel such gratitude for his extra set of hands and heart in the garden. Much more to share with you on all the happenings here in next week’s letter and video.

I was thinking this morning about Beatrix Potter’s Peter Rabbit and the mischief he seemed to always find himself in as he broke the rules by playing in Mr. McGregor’s garden. At one point he gives himself a shake, regrouping after nearly getting caught before jumping on to his next adventures.

That truly is how I am feeling this morning shaking off what I didn’t get done and remembering what I did get done. Shaking off what didn’t work out as planned to include completing this week’s video. Reminding myself the world will still be rotating on its axis (fingers crossed) and giving myself more time to allow me to complete an even better video by next Sunday.

I will be back with a video of the garden next week and if you want to see some video shorts I have created in the days ahead you can subscribe to my Grow You Girl You Tube channel here. Even catch other videos that I have previously shared.

What can you shake off and give yourself some grace about as you head into the week ahead. Here’s to doing our best and accepting what we have to give in the moments we have to give.

Have an inspiring week ahead and enjoy what is already blooming around you.

Plant often and with Love!
