You Do You

Notice what you notice.
– Alan Ginsberg

With spring just a few beautiful short days away I find that I am noticing everything popping up out of the ground. How about you?

I heard today’s quote in my improv group on Friday as we were working through the theme for this month. The theme is around noticing the masks that we tend to wear from time to time depending on our life circumstances.

To be your authentic self is a phrase we all most likely have heard. The question is do we always have the capacity to let go of the many filters that can stop us from getting to that authentic place inside of ourselves?

Or, as I like to say, finding yourself in a state of mind that allows you to do you. Especially around or in front of other people. Who are the people you can be your true self around?

This week’s video is about dirt. Yes, me being me, by sharing a fun adventure I had with Ed last week as we visited a compost farm and I got to nerd out a bit on looking at dirt through a microscope. Because I have never done this before I thought I would share the experience with you. It’s really cool to see the microscopic creatures that live in the dirt!

Perhaps the fact that I get to constantly learn so much about the earth is what keeps my curiosity strong in my love for the art of gardening.

Getting into nature of all kinds is like going to church for me. Truthfully and spiritually so much better than going to church because in nature we can get up close and personal with such wonderous and amazing creations direct from the source.

What keeps your curiosity strong while doing the things you love to do?
What makes you want to learn more and more?

And a thought to carry from a card I pulled during meditation this morning that came with a reminder about Freeing Yourself. “That which is blocked and buried within you forms the root of fear. Fear is caused by blockages in your energy.”

Pushing past fear and achieving things in life that keep our interests strong while we are fully being ourselves, well what a great way to step into Spring! Being who you were meant to be! Be You! That's what the plants do! 🤓 🌱

Wishing you a wonderful season ahead.🌸

Plant often and with Love!
