Last Hoorah
I thought all those years ago, I was learning how to grow a garden.
It turns out... the garden was growing me.

Well, Monday has arrived. Take a deep breath, and let's begin to see what this week holds in store for us, individually and collectively.
Speaking of collectively, as I shared in last week's letter, I headed off to Chicago. A city I came to love in so many ways.
First and foremost was the reason I went there. To step onto a stage with 11 other people. Some I knew from my weekly Improv group, and others I met and had the opportunity to connect with for the very first time.
Together, we felt excitement, fear, and that familiar anxiety that comes right before stepping onto a stage in front of a live audience.
We survived it all and walked away with new friendships and a renewed belief that when you put your heart into something, anything is possible.
My talk was called Playing in the Dirt, and I shared how I began gardening over 40 years ago. The video should be available in a week or so, and I look forward to sharing it here in the Victory Letter.
This week's video shares my thoughts, along with a garden tour, as I prepare to say goodbye to another growing season. The first frost is right around the corner, with morning temperatures expected to dip into the 30s here in Colorado as soon as Thursday.
The time has come.
I used to get really depressed this time of year, and truthfully, I still feel a bit of sadness as I say farewell to the plants I have nurtured over the last six months.
But over the years, I've discovered new ways to keep my creativity growing through indoor plants and hydroponics. More to share with you about that in the weeks ahead!
Some of my outdoor plants will return again in the spring, while others will have their last hoorah over the next few days.
So, I take a deep breath, accept what is, and carry on.
How about you?
What changes are you facing right now that require you to take a deep breath and find the energy to see them through?
Who will support you along the way?
And how will you feel when you get to the other side?
Wishing you a week filled with smiles as we continue to grow and move forward. π
Plant often and with Love!
