Ideas Need Sunlight Too
We express our being by creating. – Rollo May
Victory belongs the ones who fully bring the idea to life.
Hello June!
Today I want to ask you to think of an idea that has been percolating in your mind. An idea that for one reason or another you have not yet brought to life. Maybe even one that you have brought partly to life but then for some reason or another left it sitting there waiting for you to pick it back up again.
It could be a single reason, or multiple reasons from time and money to the whole factor that the idea sounds great but getting there, that piece seems so scary.
In this week’s video I am sharing a walk through my garden to share what’s happening now that the garden has had lots of rain and sunshine coming its way. Truly amazing the difference a month can make in the garden.
When I stop and think of all the ideas that this garden represents from the seeds that have just been planted, to the perennial plants that have been with me for years. And as I think about it, the truth is that some ideas fully came to life and some did not. And that is the way it can roll with creativity and implementing ideas.
To encourage you in working with your ideas this week here is a poem I wrote for my book (to be published in 2026). In the months ahead I will be sharing more snippets from the book and would love your feedback.
The motivation for this poem is to activate the action towards an idea and then look at what that action will allow you to be.

Just imagine if you could give someone a tour through your idea. How would that feel? What if you went out there into the world this week remembering that an idea is the initial spark of a dream.
Then all you have to do is rinse and repeat the steps to get you there. Honestly, that is what I do in my garden every day. And the cool thing is that it sparks all the areas of my life in the process.
Here’s to an awesome month ahead full of lots of sunshine to fuel our ideas.
