Be the Bridge
Peace doesn’t arrive all at once, it travels across the bridge we collectively build, one step, one person at a time.
This week I am sharing a video with you that unfolds something I have been working on for the past year. While I didn’t know where this project was fully going in a spiritual sense, I knew in a physical sense that I was supposed to be creating a transformation here on our property.
Over the past week as a final piece of the project came home with us, in the form of a serviceberry tree, it became clear what I wanted to create… A Peace Garden.
I was inspired to put the serviceberry tree on my wish list a few seasons back by the book The Serviceberry by Robin Wall Kimmerer. In the book she shares how the serviceberry teaches us that abundance is meant to be shared. That all flourishing is mutual when we grow together.
The thought that so many elements of nature are just there for all of us to enjoy. And, what if we were open as a society to share more, to care more.
Just like the Victory Gardens became prevalent in the dark days of World War II, I began to think that a Peace Garden is something everyone can create somewhere in their home or garden.
The video explains more. If you haven’t clicked on my videos before I urge you on this Monday morning to click on it today.
Think of this idea as a bridge to take us from here to there. To help us feel like we can indeed do something at a time in our country that once again has become very dark. Then we can help to be the light. What do you say?
Be the bridge. Let’s grow Peace.
Plant often and with Love!
