Making A Shift

And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. – Anais Nin

Welcome to March. Spring is so close we can almost touch it. And with the change of season comes the possibilities for so much growth. Opening our eyes, mind and heart a little wider to figure out where to go next.

This is a beautiful time to look at the beauty around us as feel how it can shift us in ways that didn’t seem possible before.

While on our recent journey to Seattle, Ed and I took the time to visit the Chihuly Glass and Garden exhibit. And, as can happen when looking at beautiful art or creating something new, something in me shifted. An inner voice (perhaps my Inner Girl) that told me that I needed to allow my creative powers to expand in new ways.

Does that happen for you?

We are living in stressful times, and our creativity can help us to shift our emotions on the days when it all seems to be too much.

In this week’s video I share a snippet of the exhibit and the art of glass blowing. I also share some ideas I have around gardening as I plan my garden for the seasons ahead.

I am making some important shifts that feel right. Not necessarily dramatic reinventions but small shifts in how I view my life and my contributions to the world around me.

As I think through my path ahead and my enthusiasm for growth for not only plants but the human condition, the thoughts put a smile on my face.

How about you? What does the Spring season hold in store for your creative enthusiasm?

Where in your life do you want to realign how you spend your precious time creating new things or ways to be?

Where do you need more clarity and purpose that will allow you to smile more?

Here’s to enthusiasm when it comes to growth and finding the strength we need to have our greatest joys fill our hearts.

Plant often and with Love!

P.S. Today’s quote is one of my favorites and always reminds me of spring. Officially only 19 more days from today!
