Listen Up!

What is for you will not go by you. – Scottish Saying

Welcome back from the holidays as we fully step into 2026. 🫶

One thing you may know by now if you have been on this journey with me for a while is that I love the moon and most especially to watch a good moonset.

And if you are new here welcome and understand that when I can look out my back door and see the moon setting behind Longs Peak in the early morning light it gives me an energy like no other.

These moments are really a time for pause and to realize we are microdots on a planet that is spinning while the moon circles around us. Plants remind us how to live on the planet.

Think of it as root first, reach for the light, rest in the dark, grow in seasons that work best for your particular climate.

Stopping to pause is important to help us to fully root and even more important is to listen to what your inner self is feeling, wanting and needing. To reset, so we can truly listen to what is most important for each of us in our lives right now.

In this week’s video I share a reset in my indoor garden, proving to myself once again that when I clean and nurture anything is possible.

So often in January we can rush around trying to conquer the world when what needs our attention the most is right here close to home in our inner world.

This is one of the reasons I am committing to spending this first quarter of 2026 fully listening to what is most important to achieve, contribute, and overall, how to find joy in a world that has gone a bit crazy (understatement to be sure).

This is where plants bring me the greatest tool for listening and remembering to ask the important questions:

What feels heavy right now?

What feels light?

What is my energy asking for right now?

Where can I best serve myself and the world around me?

Think of this time as your roots resting as they reset with new thoughts and ideas. Remember my friend, January isn’t always asking for decisions, or pumping up the to do list, think of this time more about paying attention as you focus on your what you want your ultimate Ta Da’s to be.

Yes, indeed, listen up!

Plant often and with Love!
