I Had To Go…
All who wander are not lost. – J.R.R. Tolkien
Well, my friend I indeed have been out wandering around looking at the world through different lenses so to speak.
This morning as my fingers find their way back to my computer keyboard, I am full of “wanderment” so to speak.
My journey to unplug began with that sense of overwhelm I think most of us get when we are preparing for a trip with more to do then the time it feels we have to get it all done. I was heading to California for a variety of reasons, driving solo with a carload full of my children’s belongings.
The time had come to take their possessions acquired as young adults and bring them to where they are now living in San Diego. I had a wedding to attend and figured this was as good a time as any to bring these possessions to them.
And frankly, I have been soulfully aching to make the drive across the western states from Colorado. The beauty of this part of the world has always brought such joy and wonder to my heart.
So why not just unplug and let go of connecting with the outside world for two weeks so I could connect more with myself and the people I had the honor of spending time with along my journey. This became an idea I fully embraced…to just let go.
This week’s video shares more including the surprise in my garden when I got back.
What I will share with you here this morning is what I really do believe is that one of the greatest gifts we can give to ourselves. Those moments in our lives when stripping our To Do list in order to create our Ta Da list makes all the difference.
And with a smile on my face and in my heart, I am happy to share that this morning’s Victory Letter marks the 27th year of this Monday morning ritual of writing this letter. Crazy, isn’t it?! Where did the time go?
Sending out the Victory Letter has been my honor and privilege all these years. Whether you are new here or have been with me for a good part of this journey, know that having you on the receiving end of this letter means the world to me. My wish has always been that this letter helps to remind you every Monday, as you begin your week, of the victories in your own life, both big and even more importantly the small ones.
Fully refreshed and ready to grow the summer season unfolds before us. I hope that you have the opportunity to go wandering even if it is simply in your own back yard. Getting your fingers in the dirt and enjoying the simple beauty our world has to offer us. That really is a Ta Da we all have the opportunity to enjoy.
Plant often and with Love!

P.S. Many thanks to my husband Ed for holding down the fort while I was out wandering and for maintaining the garden while I was gone. He is indeed the rock to my roll. xoxo.
