Happy Monday,
As this Monday morning arrives, we are winding down the month of October, with Halloween just five short days away. π
What has October brought your way that you can carry forward through the last two months of the year and into 2027?
It seems almost surreal to be talking about 2027 being so close, but time indeed marches on.
And with that comes the opportunity to reflect on what we've grown, what we've learned, and what we're ready to carry forward.
Today, in addition to sharing this week's video about saying goodbye to my beautiful zinnias and the importance of good dirt, I have something else I've been waiting a long time to share.
Good Dirt Is Ready to Grow!
After almost two years of writing, rewriting, reflecting, and growing right alongside the words, my book is complete!
Good Dirt β Growing a Creative Life in the Garden and Beyond is now ready for its next adventure: advanced readers.
And I would love to invite a few more of you to be part of this exciting stage.
While my book is filled with gardening anecdotes, it isn't a how-to gardening book. It's much more about how gardening brought the creative side of me to life.
It's the story of how, over 40 years of playing in the dirt, I discovered that I wasn't just growing a garden. The garden was growing me.
And along the way, my Inner Girl was right there beside me, helping me rediscover curiosity, courage, creativity, and the joy of growing through every season of life.
I think of Good Dirt as part storytelling, part inspiration, and part reflection. An inspirational memoir of my life in the garden and the lessons that have reached far beyond it.
Would you like to be one of my advanced readers?
I'm looking for a few more people who would enjoy reading the PDF version of my book and sharing their honest feedback.
There are 10 chapters, each ending with an opportunity to reflect on how the ideas and experiences might take root in your own life.
If you're interested, I'll email you the manuscript along with a simple feedback form over the next couple of days.
You'll have until November 20th to share your thoughts, giving you a little over three weeks to read and reflect.
I know how busy life can be, so I only ask that you raise your hand if you genuinely have the time and space to enjoy the experience.
Simply reply to this email and let me know you're interested!
And yes, I couldn't resist adding those reflections at the end of each chapter.
Always the coach, I suppose. That's me! π
Looking Through the Windshield
As this week's quote reminds us, there's a reason the windshield is so much bigger than the rearview mirror.
We can appreciate where we've been, learn from what we've experienced, and still keep our eyes on all the possibilities waiting ahead.
Whether you're putting a garden to bed, beginning a new creative adventure, or simply finding your footing in a new season of life, there's always something waiting to grow.
Sometimes all it takes is a little good dirt.
Wishing you mostly treats rather than tricks this weekβ¦unless, of course, they're good tricks! π
π
Plant often and with Love!
