Rooted in Self Love
When you have confidence in yourself, you set a standard for how others treat you.
This morning many thoughts and words are churning through my head after the energy that came with last night’s Super Bowl. The music is continuing to ring with the promise that the words in Spanish represented. Most especially the final words on the video board everyone could clearly understand:
Love is more powerful than hate.
This morning a simple but powerful gift came with an amazing sunrise. Reminding me that once again we are all just human beings spinning around on this planet together sharing it with lots of creatures and the beauty of the earth which includes millions of diverse plants.
Diverse as we may be, if we find love as the element that connects us so much is possible for the inhabitants of this earth. Without love, along with empathy and understanding … all could be lost.
The importance in allowing our confidence to guide us towards that love is what keeps popping up for me to share with you today. Mainly because confidence is what gets us to step out of bed each morning and make the most of each breath we get to take. To get past the challenges that might seem too big to get past some days.
Confidence along with love for others begins with self-love. With the belief that even through life’s ups and downs, the unexpected twists and turns, when you love who you are and what you bring to the world you can walk confidently past the naysayers. Most especially the one that might be jumping around in our own head.
This week’s video is my journey through the ups and downs of the plant world this past week as I let a dying plant go and made way to grow some new ones from seed. Life lessons to be sure. I even paint a bookshelf in the process. ;)
As you head into your week, the last week of the year of the snake, shed the skin that isn’t working for you and look at self-love in ways that get your heart happy. Open up the possibilities in how you think about your own worth. I will for sure be working on mine as well keep this acronym in mind:
Sweet
Energy
Living
Fully
Laughing
Out loud
Vividly
Engaging
